
Nick Bussa, DDS
Dr. Bussa completed his undergraduate education at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he graduated with honors in neuroscience. He attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry to complete his dental education and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Following dental school, he completed a residency at the University of Minnesota, where he gained invaluable experience in advanced general dentistry.
In addition to his education, Dr. Bussa stays up to date on the latest in the dental industry through extensive continuing education, including a postgraduate program in esthetic dentistry and professional memberships with the American Dental Association®, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Minnesota Dental Association and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).
Dr. Bussa has earned a surgical fellowship from the Great Lakes Implant Institute, where he has completed extensive coursework and training in implant dentistry. He has also earned his surgical fellowship from ICOI and teaches fellow doctors implant dentistry through Implant Pathway.
Dr. Bussa is passionate about dentistry and taking care of his patients. He is so excited to meet you and provide the best care for you. Most importantly, he is fully dedicated to providing the highest level of

When not practicing dentistry, you can find Dr. Bussa spending his free time with his family and friends and enjoying the great outdoors. He loves to travel and enjoy all that Minnesota has to offer, including boating, skiing, biking and hiking.

Dane Nelson, DDS
Dr. Nelson grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota. He attended the University of Wisconsin — Madison where he graduated with honors and double majors in anthropology and biology, and he also enjoyed a semester spent living and studying in Seville, Spain. He then returned to the University of Minnesota — Twin Cities where he earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2016 and had the opportunity to complete a clinical externship in Aarhus, Denmark.
After graduation, he was commissioned as lieutenant into the U.S. Navy Dental Corps. He was first stationed at Great Lakes Naval Base in North Chicago, Illinois, where he completed a residency in advanced education general dentistry. He then served overseas at the Marine Corps Air Station in Iwakuni, Japan, where he was awarded a Navy & Marine Corps achievement medal for his excellence in clinical work caring for marines stationed abroad. After leaving Japan, Dr. Nelson landed in Washington state to conclude his active-duty time at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. After the honorable completion of five years of active-duty service, Dr. Nelson moved into private practice dentistry in Seattle. Now, he is excited to be back with family in Minnesota and starting the next chapter of his career here at Jain Dental!
Dr. Nelson keeps up on recent developments in dentistry through extensive continuing education coursework and has completed over 10 times the biennial requirement of 50 CE hours with his 500 CE hours over the course of two years. He has also completed a one-year surgical course in implant dentistry through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Additionally, Dr. Nelson maintains professional memberships with the American Dental Association® and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Nelson is passionate about comprehensive dental patient care, especially restoring or replacing missing teeth for esthetic and healthy smiles. His goal is to help patients achieve the cosmetic and functional smile of their dreams by replacing missing teeth with dental implants to create healthy, beautiful smiles.
In his personal life, Dr. Nelson is an avid travel, sports and outdoors enthusiast; he enjoys running, cycling, snowboarding, wakeboarding, backpacking, hiking, camping, fishing, Nordic skiing and spending time with his wife, family and friends.
